This notebook contains Roberts' laboratory data and notes for the period September 1938 to April 1939, including notes on the atom-splitting experiment. The volume also contains a letter from Roberts to his father, giving the background of the experiment.

Papers document Kihn's career and travels associated with his interests in documenting the native American tribal nations of the United States and Canada in portraiture and writings.
