This collection consists of slides, documents and videos collected for the 1991 Desert Storm exhibit.
This collection consists of the material collected for the 1991 Desert Storm exhibit. The first series consists of copies of slides on the following Desert Shield and Storm subjects: aircraft used in the conflict; allied armor; allied personnel; chemical warfare; electronic; fields; ground troops; helicopters; Iraqi men and material; local scenes; med evac; patriot and surface-to-air missiles; night optics; oil fires and slicks; ships; transportation; and weapons. The second series consist of the paper documents, including: captions for part of the slide collection; video captions; DoD and CENTCOM daily press conference transcripts regarding Desert Shield and Storm; and miscellaneous newspaper and magazine articles on Desert Storm. There are also twenty-five videos which contain footage from Desert Storm.

The papers of Los Angeles Abstract Classicist painter and educator Frederick Hammersley measure 35.05 linear feet and date from circa 1860-2009, bulk 1940-2009. The papers contain biographical materials, 32 diaries, family and professional correspondence, personal business and financial records, estate records, writings, graphic design projects, teaching files, printed materials, scrapbooks, photographs, and works of art. There is a 0.3 linear foot unprocessed addition to this collection donated in 2020 that includes photographs of Hammersley's family, and most significantly for research, a study in pencil and a "model for making cubes," a paper document that can be stored flat and folded into a cube shape.

The Brannock Device Company began with the 1925 invention of the Brannock Device, a tool to measure foot length and width at the same time, by inventor and businessman Charles F. Brannock. Early in his career Brannock worked as a shoe salesman at the Park-Brannock shoe store, and in 1962 he became the CEO of the company. This collection documents both the Park-Brannock store and the Brannock Device. Materials in The Brannock Device Company Records, 1925-1998, include of correspondence, design drawings, United States and foreign patents and trademarks, advertisements, product information, sales records, photographs, and a film strip documenting the invention, promotion, and sale of the Brannock Device as well as the concurrent development of Park-Brannock as a leading shoe store in Syracuse, N.Y.

National Museum of African American History and Culture
Edward Dugger (1894-1939) served as a first lieutenant and commanding officer in the African American unit, 372nd Infantry, during the 1920s and 1930s. The 372nd Infantry Regiment was a troop that was part of the 93rd Infantry Division (Colored) which served with the French Army during World War I. He retired in 1936 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel with the Massachusetts National Guard and passed away in 1939.
