Art Historian Anne Cohen DePietro, "Catalog of American Portraits (CAP) Study of American Costume" Notebooks, 1660-20th century, documentation, photographs and photocopies of civilian and military costumes in dated, historical portraits. This costume survey originated with images and descriptive text for each decade compiled by former CAP staff member, Art Historian Anne Cohen DePietro. She created her study of American costumes and portraiture from the mid-18th through mid-19th centuries for her 1975 Master of Arts degree in Art History and Museology at George Washington University. Many CAP portrait images have subsequently been added by staff members to the costume study. 14 notebooks stored on cabinet shelves, CAP File Room, measurement 3.7 linear feet, c. 1973-2018 (or present)creation date, circa 1975 gift of Anne Cohen DePietro to the CAP.
