Marilyn Heldman photographs
The collection includes 193 slides taken by Marilyn Heldman in Ethiopia in the 1960s and 1970s. Subjects include architecture, art objects, marketplaces, pottery, reliefs and cultures including the Bamileke, Fulani, Hausa, Oyo and Yoruba peoples.
Statement on an exhibit of the Washington Art Association
Handwritten statement signed "P.S." describes an exhibition at the Washington Art Association. The author mentions three works specifically: Charles Loring Elliott's portrait of Thomas Loraine McKenney; George Peter Alexander Healy's portrait of Mrs. Slidell; and William Henry Rinehart's bas relief sculptures of "Night" and "Morning."
Bruno Louis Zimm papers
A letter from Karl Bitter with a sketch of a male figure (1908) praises Zimm's relief sculpture at "the League room". Photographs show Zimm, his studio, home, and works of art (ca. 1923-1940), and Hasbrouck Zimm (ca. 1946). Other materials consist of a biographical account written by Zimm's son (1985) and 3 clippings (1907-1982).
Charles Keck papers
The papers of New York City sculptor Charles Keck (1875-1951) measure 8.6 linear feet and date from circa 1905-circa 1954. The papers provide scattered documentation of Keck's life through thirteen letters, two speeches, lists of artwork with price and sales information, printed material, and photographic material, including photos of Keck and his studio, and a collection of 1003 glass plate negatives, primarily of Keck's artwork, which document the wide range of work he produced throughout his prolific career.
Benson Bond Moore papers
The papers of printmaker and landscape painter Benson Bond Moore date from 1902 to 1995 and measure 5.7 linear feet. Found within the papers are biographical material, letters, scattered personal business records, notes and writings, twelve scrapbooks, printed material, and photographs. The papers also contain extensive artwork in the form of drawings and sketches, etchings, lithographs, and a few oil paintings.
