Ralph Rinzler Folklife Archives and Collections
The Rinzler Archives Reference Collection (RARC) was established by Rinzler Archives staff in 2012 in order to accommodate the vast archival resources accumulated by archives staff since 1987, when the Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage acquired the Moses and Frances Asch Collection (including Folkways Records and Service Corps.). The overall collection consists of books and other printed matter, cassette tapes, LPs, 78s, 45s, and ephemera, most of which are related to a wide range of record labels, including those now owned by the non-profit record label Smithsonian Folkways.
