J.W. Smith Collection
This collection contains approximately one cubic foot of material relating to J. W. Smith and his aeronautical career, specifically his all-metal monoplanes, the Smith (John W. ) 1911 and 1913 monoplanes, and aircraft engine designs, circa 1910-1950s. It includes drawings, patent applications and related material, correspondence, photographs and magazine and newspaper articles.

The Technical Reference Files comprise an artificial collection that currently contains 1,900 cubic feet of aviation and space related materials, organized in 22 subject series. File materials include photographs, press releases, clippings, correspondence, reports, and brochures, on individuals, organizations, events, and objects.
Fairchild Industries, Inc. collection
This collection consists of historical files on FI, its predecessors, and subsidiaries. The material consists primarily of historical/public relations material, including photographs and brochures, but also includes significant amounts of business records for FEAC, Kreider-Reisner, Hiller, Republic, Ranger, Stratos, and Swearingen. The collection also documents Fairchild's joint ventures with Fokker, Pilatus, and other aircraft manufacturers. The material also includes an extensive negative collection as well as film and videotape libraries.
Early Aeronautical Writings

This collection consists of approximately 3.28 cubic feet of early periodicals, articles, pamphlets, and other publications relating to various aspects of aviation including kites; balloons; events relating to aviation; personalities involved in aviation; aerial navigation; airships; airplanes; aerial combat; models; and aerial photography. The majority of writings in the collection date to the time period from 1755 through 1919, but there some later pieces dating to the 1920s through the 1960s. Most of the items in the collection are in English, but there are also some writings in French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, and Portuguese.

This collection contains Verville's personal papers. The material relates mainly to his various aeronautical concerns as well as his involvement with military aviation. The collection includes a large number of photos tracing the development of Curtiss aircraft and Naval Aviation, and especially documenting the design, construction, and flights of a replica of the Navy's first aircraft, the Curtiss A-1 'Triad', built under Verville's direction by the Bureau of Aeronautics to commemorate the Fiftieth Anniversary of Naval Aviation in 1961. Also included are a large number of blueprints and photos of Verville-designed aircraft, especially those developed by the Verville Aircraft Co. in 1928 - 1931
Sam DeVincent Collection of Illustrated American Sheet Music, Series 1: Transportation
Sam DeVincent loved music and art and began collecting sheet music with lithographs at an early age. Series 1: Transportation contains circa 3,900 pieces of sheet music documenting the development of and popular attitudes towards transportation technology in the United States.
