Colette Roberts Papers and Interviews with Artists
The papers of New York City and Paris art historian, educator, and gallerist Colette Roberts measure 10.2 linear feet and date from 1918 to 1971. Papers include correspondence, writings, teaching records, project proposals, gallery records from Grand Central Moderns Gallery, clippings, Roberts' printed articles, press releases, exhibition catalogs, posters, photographs, and a few works of art on paper. Also found are 124 interviews with contemporary artists conducted by Roberts.
Richard Hood papers
Material primarily relating to Hood's work on the Federal Art Project, the Philadelphia College of Art, and the American Color Print Society. Hood's earlier work as a printmaker is not well represented. Included are correspondence, notes, writings, sketches, scrapbooks, printed material and photographs.

The collection comprises Poling's files from his work in Korea, Nigeria, and other countries evaluating and developing industry programs for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and professional files containing correspondence, photographs, printed materials, and other material relating to Poling's position as Director of Student Workshops at Dartmouth College, and his work with the American Industrial Arts Association.
George Fedoroff papers
The papers of craftsman and administrator George Fedoroff measure 2.0 linear feet and date from 1939-1980. Found are biographical materials, correspondence, writings and notes, professional files, printed materials, and photographs. Many of the documents concern Fedoroff's work with the United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs.

The papers of Mexican born painter, sculptor, and educator Octavio Medellin measure 3.6 linear feet and date from circa 1935 to circa 1979. The collection is comprised of correspondence with Carlos Mérida, Stanley Marcus, Lucy Maverick, Bess Hubbard, Xavier Gonzalez, and others; commission files for projects in Texas; professional files that include notes, biographical essays, and material for the Medellin School of Sculpture, Mendocino Art Center, International Institute of Arts and Letters, and the San Antonio Religious Show; printed and documentary materials consisting of an art reproduction, booklets, exhibition catalogs, magazines and yearbooks, and video recordings of Swank in the Arts; and photographic materials of Medellin, his studio, family and friends, travel in Mexico, his students, and works of art.
Howard Somers Conant papers
The papers of art educator and painter Howard Somers Conant measure 3.2 linear feet and date from 1944 to 1987. The papers document Conant's career as an art educator through correspondence with friends and colleagues; draft manuscripts, lectures, and other writings; newsletters, copies of published books, and other printed materials; and seventy-four sound recordings of interviews, lectures, and panel discussions that Conant took part in during the 1960s.
Franz Bader Gallery records
The records of the Washington, D.C. located Franz Bader Gallery measure 13.0 linear feet and date from 1925 to 1995. The materials document the gallery's history and administrative activities, the artists represented by the gallery, the exhibitions held at the space, and the life of Franz Bader. The collection comprises the personal papers of Franz Bader including files regarding his photography career; artist's files for Paul Arlt, David Becker, William Calfee, Un'ichi Hiratsuka, Robert Marx, Wang Ming, Naúl Ojeda, Prentiss Taylor, Alma Thomas, Lee Weiss, and others; and gallery files containing correspondence, exhibition records, client invoices and other administrative records, files on Inuit art and bark paintings, and a file for Whyte Bookshop and Gallery. Also found are inventory and sales records consisting of two card files, ledgers, stock and inventory lists, and a sales binder; printed and broadcast materials relating to exhibitions, Bader and his photography, events, and includes a video recording featuring the gallery on the show Around Town; guestbooks which hold signatures and notes from gallery patrons; scrapbooks that include printed material related to the gallery's exhibitions, D.C.-based artists the gallery represented, and other gallery events; and photographs of Bader and others, the gallery space, works of art, and candid photographs from exhibition openings.
Photography Release Forms
This accession consists of release forms signed by participants in youth programs. Materials include photography and video release forms, interview release forms, and parent/legal guardian consent forms. A small amount of administrative material is also included.
Charles W. White papers
The papers of Los Angeles painter, printmaker, and educator, Charles W. White, measure 12.9 linear feet and date from 1933 to 1987, with the bulk of the material dating from the 1960s to the 1970s. The collection contains biographical material, including a sound recording of an interview with White; personal and professional correspondence; writings by White and others about his philosophy of art, his life, and career; professional files documenting White's participation in a variety of boards, committees, juries, symposiums, professional projects, and commissions; teaching files documenting White's tenure at Otis Art Institute; extensive printed material charting White's career from the 1930s until his death; scrapbooks primarily documenting his early career; and a small series of photographs.
