This study collection contains five 8 x 10 inch black and white publicity photographs, dated May 31, 1943, of Liberian officials, U.S. State Department representatives, and Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. personnel, taken as they toured the company's war production plants in Ohio. Each photograph has complete typewritten documentation tipped to the back. Includes images of President Edwin Barclay and President-elect William V.S. Tubman of Liberia, Brig. Gen. Benjamin O. Davis and Harvey S. Firestone, Jr.

This collection consists of an album containing 36 photographs taken by Maj. Arthur E. Hillier, a British Army officer serving with the Nigeria Regiment, Royal West African Frontier Force, circa 1935. The images are portrait photographs, which were used to identify local staff and employees. Individuals from a variety of culture groups are depicted, including the Hausa, Yoruba, Kanuri, Nupe, Fula, Dakakari, Bella, Baggara, Sara, Angas, Tiv, Bagirmi and Zarma peoples.

Dr. Hugh L. Dryden was an aerodynamicist by training, a career civil servant, and a government official. With degrees in physics and mathematics he became chief of the aerodynamics section of the National Bureau of Standards and eventually served as the first deputy administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). This collection consists of memorabilia relating to Dryden's career.
