The papers of Cuban American painter Gustavo Acosta measure 1.0 linear feet and date from 1958 to 2017. Biographical material including artist statements and interviews are included, as well as documentation from Acosta's education and art production in Cuba. Correspondence is mostly professional in nature and spans from 1987 to 2012, in both Spanish and English. The professional files series includes exhibition documentation and proposals, as well as artwork inventories and a lecture including a digital slide presentation. Printed material includes exhibition announcements and catalogs as well as press clippings. Photographs include images of the artist and artwork among other subjects.
