This collection contains 276 photographs and documents that were collected by Episcopal missionary and teacher Ida Roff Fick working in Anadarko, Oklahoma Territory circa 1898-1902. Most of the photographs are believed to have been taken by amateur photogarapher Annette Ross Hume (1858-1933).

Bobby Short was a singer and pianist whose career spanned seven decades. An interpreter of American popular music, he became a performer in childhood and remained active until his death. He is best known for his more than 35 years as performer-in-residence at the Hotel Carlyle's Café Carlyle in New York City. This collection contains personal papers and photographs as well as business papers, musical materials and photographs relating to Mr. Short's career as a performing artist.

The collection includes correspondence; newspaper clippings on Pendergast and his various folk art collections; a scrapbook of photographs and miscellaneous materials relating to cigar store figures; and a large number of black and white photographs of figures from his personal collection, mostly for use in selling the figures.
