Krainik Ballooning Collection
This 19th and 20th century ballooning memorabilia collection contains the following items, which have been meticulously inventoried: 112 stereoscopic photographs; 107 photographs; 84 postcards, trade cards, valentines, and similar items; 80 prints; and 23 miscellaneous items.
Ernst Herzfeld Papers
An outstanding scholar in the field of Iranian studies, Ernst Herzfeld (1879--1948) explored all phases of Near Eastern culture from the prehistoric period to Islamic times. This collection documents Herzfeld's excavations at Samarra, Persepolis, Pasargadae, and Aleppo and includes correspondence; field notebooks; drawings; sketchbooks; inventories of objects; "squeeze" copies of architectural details; and photographs.

This accession consists of exhibition catalogs (both traveling and in-house), brochures, pamphlets, illustrated checklists, and other publications created around a specific themes or genres drawn from the collections in the National Portrait Gallery.
Fairchild Industries, Inc. collection
This collection consists of historical files on FI, its predecessors, and subsidiaries. The material consists primarily of historical/public relations material, including photographs and brochures, but also includes significant amounts of business records for FEAC, Kreider-Reisner, Hiller, Republic, Ranger, Stratos, and Swearingen. The collection also documents Fairchild's joint ventures with Fokker, Pilatus, and other aircraft manufacturers. The material also includes an extensive negative collection as well as film and videotape libraries.
Sam DeVincent Collection of Illustrated American Sheet Music, Series 8: Geography
Sam DeVincent loved music and art and began collecting sheet music with lithographs at an early age. Series 8: Geography is divided into three sections: the United States, Foreign Countries, and Natural Features. The microfilmed Archer M. Huntington Art Gallery exhibition files contain 621 exhibition files (1948-1981) including biographical data on artists, correspondence, photographs, exhibition checklists, price and sales lists, loan agreements, condition reports, shipping orders and receipts, exhibition announcements, catalogs and invitations, press releases, and clippings.

The Subject Categories subseries is divided into 470 subject categories based on those created by Mr. Warshaw. These subject categories include topical subjects, types or forms of material, people, organizations, historical events, and other categories.
