The Smithsonian Institution Festival of American Folklife, held annually since 1967 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., was renamed the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in 1998. The materials collected here document the planning, production, and execution of the annual Festival, produced by the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage (1999-present) and its predecessor offices (1967-1999). The Society for the History of Technology Records (SHOT) consists of documents relating to SHOT from its inception in 1958- [0ngoing]. The collection is divided into two subgroups: Subgroup I, General Records, 1956-2009 which consist of papers generated and received by Melvin Kranzberg in his various roles as an officer of SHOT, as well as papers of other SHOT officers. Subgroup II,Technology and Culture Records, 1958-2009, consists of documents relating to the Society's journal, Technology and Culture. T & C is a quarterly publication containing articles of interest to and written by historians and students of technology. The records consist of material generated by Melvin Kranzberg in his role as editor-in-chief, 1959-1981 and by succeeding T&C editors.

The Kenneth and Miriam Stubbs papers regarding E. Ambrose Webster measure 0.9 linear feet and date from 1911-2007. A student at Webster's summer school in Provincetown, Kenneth Stubbs maintained a friendship with Webster and collected some of his original papers, including many handwritten copies of Webster's lectures, notes, an address book, photographs, letters, lists, and reproductions of artwork. Research files maintained by Kenneth, and later by his wife Miriam, include correspondence, exhibition catalogs for exhibitions of Webster's work, notes, photographs of artwork, and a sound recording of a radio interview of Miriam Stubbs and Tony Vevers discussing Webster.
