The Helga Teiwes photograph collection contains over 7,000 negatives, slides and prints made by Teiwes between 1965 and 2002. For over thirty years Teiwes worked as a staff photographer for the Arizona State Museum, photographing and documenting Native American communities across the American Southwest. During this time, Teiwes also privately took photographs and built personal relationships among members of the Akimel O'odham, Tohono O'odham, Apache, DinĂ© (Navajo) and Hopi tribes. These photographs include portraits of artists at work, families in their homes, daily life on the reservation, special events and landscape photography. Additionally, the Teiwes collection includes photographs from a 1975 trip to Peru and photographs of the Tarahumara (RarĂ¡muri) community in Chihuahua, Mexico.

The papers of Hudson River School painter Jervis McEntee measure 1.6 linear feet and date from 1796 and 1848 to 1905. Letters from close friends and family members to McEntee include many from his mentor Frederic Edwin Church, and fellow artists Samuel Putnam Avery, George Henry Boughton, Sanford Gifford, Richard Henry, Eastman Johnson, Elizabeth B. Stoddard, John Ferguson Weir, Worthington Whittredge, and others. Papers relating to the McEntee family include obituaries, a family genealogy, and letters from and regarding family members. There are also papers relating to the Vaux family (McEntee's brother-in-law's family) and American architect and landscape artist Calvert Vaux, who designed a studio for McEntee. Of special significance are five volumes of diaries dating from 1872 through 1890 which provide a detailed depiction of the American art world in the 1870s and 1880s.

The papers of Werner and Yetta Groshans measure 2.0 linear feet and date from 1928 to 1997. The papers document Werner Groshans career as a painter through correspondence, professional files, printed material, and photographs. Correspondence is with friends and colleagues, as well as art collectors, art organizations, and galleries. Also included is a file of correspondence in regards to Groshans jurying exhibitions. Professional material consists of awards and certificates, a statement on art written by Groshans, interviews with Alice Neel on three audio cassettes, a video retrospective on Groshans, and videos documenting Groshans artwork, one recorded just before his death. Printed material consists of magazine and newspaper clippings, exhibition catalogs, artist biographies and reports from the National Academy of Design, and Groshans' obituary. Also found are photographs of Groshans and photographs and slides of his artwork.
